Meet Our Montgomery, MN Dental Team
Julie Paur, Hygienist
Julie is from New Prague, and she earned her bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from Minnesota State University, Mankato, in 2001. One year prior, she joined our dental office and has been serving our patients since 2000. Always on top of the latest developments in her field, Julie holds active membership with the American Dental Hygiene Association. Julie is married to Brian, and the couple has two children, Lauren and Logan. The busy family values downtime, when they can enjoy life together.
At your visit, Julie will examine your gums and record information about them. This is called charting, and it is an important part of analyzing your gum health over time. You should plan to visit Julie every six months for a comprehensive cleaning. She’ll remove bacteria-producing plaque, tarter, and decaying food particles from your teeth, then polish them to a nice shine. Julie loves having fun with our patients, but she takes her job seriously. Over 80% of American adults have some form of gum disease, and it’s the leading cause of tooth loss. Add to this that periodontal disease has been linked to increased risk for serious health complications, like heart disease, stroke, and low birth weight. Julie will provide you with the tools and information you need to ward off or battle gum disease, so you can enjoy optimal oral health for years to come.
